An 11th-grader in Washington state took first place overall at his regional science fair for his study of neuromuscular control of prosthetic devices, according to The News Tribune, a Washington newspaper.
William Edwards, of Bonney Lake High School, Tacoma, Washington, took the top seat at the 11th South Sound Regional Science Fair at Pacific Lutheran University on March 25. Nearly 600 students from 86 schools participated. Edwards is now eligible to compete at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair, May 10-16, Reno, Nevada.
