Aetrex Worldwide, Teaneck, New Jersey, has appointed Tony Baldwin as director of sales for retail chains. According to Aetrex, Baldwin has more than 15 years of footwear experience and will be responsible for building the Aetrex brand and driving sales of the company’s footwear and footcare product lines in the retail-chain market. “Tony’s proven track record for maximizing existing business and launching new brand initiatives in shoe retail chains and department stores made him a great fit for this position,” said Matt Schwartz, Aetrex vice president of sales.
Baldwin was previously the national sales manager for ECCO USA, Londonderry, New Hampshire, where he was responsible for sales, distribution, and marketing for 13 southern states, the Caribbean, and several national strategic accounts. At the Rockport Company, Canton, Massachusetts, he worked as sales manager, coordinating launch strategies for a new men’s division, securing distribution across all channels. He also established a new men’s division as the business development manager for Steve Madden Ltd. Long Island, New York, building a structure to support sales operations and product development.
“Aetrex has a very compelling and unique story,” Baldwin said. “Now that I’ve joined the company, I look forward to leveraging what Aetrex has already built, and helping them expand the brand footprint into many more retailers.”
Baldwin will be based out of Maryland.
