Larry Otis Kegg, CP, age 60, passed away on December 17 at the Columbus Alzheimer Care Center, Ohio. According to the Circleville News, he “was surrounded by love from his wife and life partner, Denise. Also present was his sister-in-law, Deborah Cox, and Father John.”
According the Circleville News, Kegg attended Northwestern University, Chicago, Illinois, and held an O&P degree from Cerritos College, California. After serving at several facilities, he founded South Central Orthotic and Prosthetic Center, Chillicothe, Ohio, and was instrumental in the passage of Ohio’s O&P licensure requirement. He was described as “innovative, creative, and fun loving,” a person who “will be missed by his many patients that could always count on personal service as well as a joke and a smile.”
Married for 34 years, Kegg is survived by Denise; their son, Anthony “Tony” Kegg; granddaughter, Layla; and a network of family, close friends, and patients. His family states that in lieu of flowers, well-wishers might contribute to a charity of their choice in Kegg’s name.
