The U.S. Small Business Administration has named Jeffrey and Wanda Messenger, owners of Ozarks Prosthetics and Orthotics, Springfield, Missouri, as the 2010 Missouri Small Business Person of the Year. The Messengers have been invited to go to Washington DC in May to compete for the national Small Business Person of the Year title.
Ozarks Prosthetics and Orthotics has been serving clients for 35 years. According to Springfield’s News-Leader newspaper, the company has been owned by the Messengers since 2003, and in the intervening seven years, has grown 400 percent and now employs 13 people.
