Orthocare Innovations, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, has named David Adams as general manager of its Oklahoma City facility. Adams joins Orthocare from Trulife North America, Poulsbo, Washington, where he served as vice president of product development. Adams brings more than 14 years of experience in the O&P and orthopedic sectors, including leadership roles in manufacturing, regulatory compliance, customer support, business development, management, and company acquisitions, according to an Orthocare press release. In addition to his position at Trulife, he has served as executive vice president for CAMP Healthcare, Jackson, Michigan, and vice president of business development, foot orthotics for Bauerfeind, Germany.
“I am very proud to join Orthocare Innovations,” Adams said. “Its people, creative ideas, and business partners will dramatically improve patient quality of life through innovative medical devices.”
“Dave Adams is an experienced leader in the O&P field, and we are thrilled that he will be managing our Oklahoma City facility on a day-to-day basis,” commented Orthocare CEO Doug McCormack. “Dave’s tremendous background in leading large production operations will be extremely valuable as Orthocare continues to grow and launch its new and innovative products.”
Adams also has an engineering background that will help support product development, according to Orthocare, and a systematic approach to operations that he honed while spending 12 years working on nuclear-powered submarines while in the Naval Nuclear power program. Adams currently serves as a board member of the Orthotics and Prosthetics Education and Research Foundation (OPERF).
