Ossur, Reykjavik, Iceland, announced its alliance with Hely & Weber, a supplier of braces and supports. Ossur now distributes Hely & Weber’s line of soft goods through Ossur’s Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) contracts, in addition to three of Ossur’s representatives: Team Makena, Synergy Orthopedics, and Dashe Orthopedic Supplies.
“The addition of Hely & Weber products to our line expands our ability to provide innovative products that drive successful patient outcomes for our customers,” said Mahesh Mansukhani, Ossur Americas president, in a press release.
According to the Hely & Weber website, John Hely and Jim Weber founded the California-based, family-owned company in 1992, and have a combined 70 years of experience in the orthopedic and sports medicine industry.
CEO Hely commented on the partnership, “We are excited about the opportunity to work with Ossur to strengthen our market presence. Ossur is a leading company that is well positioned to continue its success in the non-invasive orthopedic area.”
