Several dignitaries will attend the ribbon cutting ceremony on November 25 in Phnom Penh, including H.E. Mrs. Men Sam An, deputy prime minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
“We’re extremely grateful to the Nippon Foundation for funding this permanent and spacious home for CSPO,” said Sisary Kheng, CSPO manager, and one of the school’s first graduates, in a press release. “This new building is a major step for the sustainability of CSPO and a great environment for the training of high-quality prosthetists [and] orthotists and the delivery of high-quality services to people with disabilities.”
CSPO’s training program is run by the Cambodia Trust, a UK-registered non-governmental organization in collaboration with the Royal Government of Cambodia and other organizations. To date 154 students have graduated the program and are now working as O&P professionals in Cambodia and other parts of the developing world.
