Charla L. Howard has joined the staff of the Methodist Rehabilitation Center, Jackson, Mississippi, department of orthotics and prosthetics and Center for Neuroscience and Neurological Recovery, as a prosthetic researcher.
According to a Methodist Rehabilitation Center press release, Howard holds a bachelor of science degree in biological engineering from Mississippi State University (MSU), Starkville. In 2008, she was named the Mississippi Engineering Society Outstanding Senior Engineering Student and was given the Outstanding Undergraduate Research Award. Howard was also accepted in the MSU Bagley College of Engineering Hall of Fame.
With experience in research publications and presentations, Howard is currently enrolled in the Arizona State University, Tempe, doctoral program in bioengineering. Her research interests include rehabilitation engineering in a clinical setting with an emphasis in prosthetics, biomechanics, and psychophysics.
