OPAF and The First Clinics have announced three new 2011 sponsors.
Becker Orthopedic, Troy, Michigan, has become the newest Bronze-level sponsor. Becker Orthopedic has previously sponsored the combined First Dive and First Paddle events in Michigan.
“Becker is both proud and excited to be a corporate sponsor for the Orthotic [&] Prosthetic Assistance Fund (OPAF) in 2011,” C. Rudolf Becker IV, vice president of sales and marketing, said. “The work OPAF is doing with The First Clinics to engage patients in social activities through athletics is second to none and we are honored to be a part of it. We look forward to working with OPAF and their orthotic patients to help make their experiences at The First Clinics the very best they can be.”
O&P Business News (OPBN) has joined OPAF as a Patron-level sponsor for 2011. OPBN has previously sponsored Cocktails for a Cause of the First Bid Live & Silent Auction events held at the American Academy of Orthotists & Prosthetists (the Academy) Annual Meeting.
“O&P Business News is honored to support OPAF’s mission and their efforts in 2011,” Joan-Marie Stiglich, ELS, senior vice president of SLACK Incorporated, OPBN’s parent company, said. “We applaud OPAF for helping people reach new personal goals and are excited to be able to contribute to that success.”
Cardinal Prosthetics and Orthotics, Winchester, Virginia, has become a Signature-level sponsor. Owner Richard Churchill, CPO, is an amputee athlete who has participated in The First Clinics events.
