The Amputee Coalition has announced that WillowWood, Mt. Sterling, Ohio, is a 2011 Lodestone sponsor of its Paddy Rossbach Youth Camp. The Lodestone sponsorship represents a financial commitment of $14,100 to the camp for its programs and activities. The youth camp is a five-day traditional summer camp experience for children ages 10-17 who have limb loss or limb difference.
“WillowWood has been a supporter of the Amputee Coalition since 1997,” Kendra Calhoun, Amputee Coalition president and CEO, said. “We are grateful for their continued support of our youth camp. This sponsorship will help us to reach our goal of bringing 100 youths to the camp this July. The camp continues to provide opportunities for campers to meet other young people with limb loss and to learn that they are not alone.”
This year WillowWood is the leading Paddy Rossbach Youth Camp sponsor, the Amputee Coalition noted. WillowWood employees also volunteer their time at a special event that the company sponsors at the camp.
“The special event gives our employees a chance to see what impact the company is having on the lives of the campers,” Lisa Watkins, communications coordinator at WillowWood, said. “They look forward to the camp all year long.”
