The International African American Prosthetic & Orthotic Coalition (IAAPOC) recently announced that Jessica Smith-Armstrong is the latest recipient of the Sam D. Benson Scholarship. Smith-Armstrong just completed her first year in the master of science in prosthetics and orthotics (MSPO) program at the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech), Atlanta.
According to an IAAPOC press release, Smith-Armstrong completed her undergraduate program at Virginia Polytechnic Institute (Virginia Tech), Blacksburg, and has two years of experience in the field. She selected O&P profession to fulfill her personal and professional goals.
