SPS, Alpharetta, Georgia, and oandp.com, Gainesville, Florida, have announced the integration of SPS’ product inventory and ordering capabilities with OPIE software tools. The integration allows OPIE software users to search among more than 200,000 SPS-distributed products available online, check pricing, availability, and place orders within the OPIE software tools. OPIE users will be able to configure systems and purchase fabrication supplies, tools, and equipment as needed for their O&P practices from among SPS’ 300+ manufacturers. All functions, including order status and tracking, are fully functional as of July 2011.
“Easy and fast were our two goals in integrating SPS’ online ordering capability with the OPIE software tools,” said Ron May, president and COO of SPS. “OPIE’s process flows will broaden and deepen our reach to customers throughout the United States as they endeavor to become more efficient in their procurement practices and decrease on-hand inventory by utilizing our nationwide distribution capabilities.”
Paul Prusakowski, CPO, FAAOP, CEO of oandp.com, said, “We are strongly committed to evolving OPIE based on the expressed desires of our users. Integration with SPS brings the full benefit of our electronic product selection, ordering, and tracking capabilities to the distributor of choice for many of those users, and we are excited to work with SPS to further push the limits of ordering efficiency.”
