Francis R. Jones, of Appling, Georgia, passed away on October 30, 2011. He was 86.
Jones, an orthotist, was the owner of Augusta Brace, Georgia, which he founded in 1969, and later sold in 1998. According to his obituary in The Augusta Chronicle, he was an avid hunter and fisherman, he never met a stranger, and enjoyed telling jokes.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Wilma, and his brother, Randolph.
