Kenneth Raymond Carozza, passed away November 4 at his home in East Meredith, New York. He was 69.
Born October 2, 1942, in Bronx, New York, he was the youngest of nine children of Carmine and Helen (Harrison) Carozza. He married Marita A. Dorsch, on June 22, 1963.
For many years Carozza, a retired, registered prosthetic-orthotic assistant, and Marita, CP, FAAOP, owned and operated Dorsch Prosthetics and Orthotics, Manhattan New York. According to an online obituary, he was a talented wood carver and artist who took pride in everything he created.
“Kenny was not only a mentor, friend, and wonderful practitioner, but a man with great compassion,” said Joann Marx, CPO, FAAOP, in an OANDP-L listserv posting.
Carozza is survived by his wife, Marita; daughter Marita (Glenn) Schuele; grandchildren, Samantha (Nick) Gagnon and Colin Schuele; and several nieces and nephews including a special niece, Debbie (“Brad”) Bradford.
