OPAF and First Volley™ Tennis have received several grants from the United States Tennis Association (USTA) for their adaptive tennis clinics.
USTA Serves has awarded First Volley an $8,000 matching grant to continue the work that has been growing for several years with children’s hospitals and facilities across the country. Three clinics are already booked in Portland, Oregon; Springfield, Massachusetts; and Sacramento, California. Other locations are being scouted for potential partnerships and include Akron, Ohio, and Lexington, Kentucky.
Several USTA state associations have also awarded grant funding to First Volley to continue regional events in the area of the country in which they are located. These include USTA Middle States, USTA New England, USTA Missouri Valley-Iowa District, USTA Southern, and USTA Southern-North Carolina District.
