The Board of Certification/Accreditation, International (BOC) orthotist, prosthetist, orthotic fitter, and mastectomy fitter certification programs were recently reaccredited through 2016 by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA). NCCA is a national certifying agency accrediting more than 200 certification programs from more than 100 organizations.
As part of the reaccreditation process, NCCA reviewed the BOC programs’ policies and procedures, skill sets, assessment methods, and statistical procedures for validating results.
