The Prosthetics Outreach Foundation (POF) has selected Marion McGowan as its new executive director. McGowan has worked internationally and in global health in both the private and nonprofit sectors. Most recently she served as country director in Sierra Leone for GOAL, an international humanitarian organization that conducted nutrition and water/sanitation projects serving disadvantaged communities.
“We are excited to have Marion join us during this pivotal time,” says Board President Robert G. Veith, MD. “In the coming years, we will look to expand our impact and continue to develop sustainable interventions in our target countries. Under her leadership, POF will continue its mission to improve the mobility and independence of the physically disabled children and adults in developing countries.”
