A new website has been launched to highlight the issues faced by people with limb loss and limb deficiencies and to mark European Limb Loss Day (ELLD), December 3. A survey was also launched with the aim of finding out the state of access to living aids, accessible transport, opportunities, and medical expertise for people with limb loss and limb deficiency across Europe.
This year’s theme for ELLD is “removing barriers to create an inclusive and accessible society for all.” Limb-loss groups across Europe will join together on ELLD to raise awareness of these difficulties with the aim of improving the lives of hundreds of thousands of people across Europe who are prevented from accessing the same opportunities as able-bodied people.
