Hi-Tech Prosthetic, Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, has announced the launch of a Spanish-language O&P website for individuals in Puerto Rico and Latin America to gather to read news and learn about prosthetics and orthotics, share stories with others, and interact in a social-network forum.
“I wanted miprotesis.com to be separate from our company…,” said Frank Ucrós, CP, BOCP, owner of Hi-Tech Prosthetic. “The site was designed with a community following in mind. There are many disabled people and veterans in Latin America [who] share the use of artificial limbs. This site will bring them together. I also hope to have others who wish to share press releases, blogs, or articles about prosthetics to contribute material to our website.”
The website, www.miprotesis.com, is entirely in Spanish and all content submitted must be in Spanish in order to be accepted.
