National Government Services (NGS), the Jurisdiction B Durable Medical Equipment Medicare Administrative Contractor (DME MAC) will host two public meetings at which interested parties can submit scientific, evidence-based information, professional consensus opinions, or other information relevant to the development of local coverage determinations (LCDs). The meetings are part of a CMS directive to include information and opinions from members of the general public as part of the LCD process. The draft LCDs for the meetings can be accessed after October 18 from the Medical Policy Center on the NGS website. Requests to present information at the meetings must be submitted to NGS in writing.
The first meeting will be held on October 28, and includes Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont. Written submission requests for this meeting must be received by October 23. The second meeting will be held October 29, and includes Illinois, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. Written submission requests for this meeting must be received by October 22.
