Edward John Roman II, CP, LPO, of Rockford, Illinois, passed away on February 27, after a long illness. He was 65.
Roman was born March 9, 1948, in Chicago, Illinois. He married the former Michele M. Worsham on January 29, 1972. He was employed by Diamond Fab, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; was a member of Eagle Scout Order of the Arrow Vigil Honors; and was a founding member of allied health education programs and helped implement Illinois’ Orthotics, Prosthetics, and Pedorthics Practice Act which took effect in 2000. Roman enjoyed scuba diving and fishing, and was an avid Chicago Bears fan.
Roman’s “determination and resilience during his fight over the past year and a half was an inspiration to all who knew him,” wrote Bob Diamond, the owner of Diamond’s Fab, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in an OANDP-L listserv posting. “It was my great pleasure to share the twilight of his career with him. He had a wealth of knowledge about the history of our profession and great sense of humor that kept the whole crew smiling. We all miss him a lot.”
Survivors include his wife, Michele Roman; sons, Edward III and Bill; and daughter, Megan Kimbler.
