Ottobock, Minneapolis, Minnesota, announced the promotion of Kathy Schuerman, CPA, to vice president of finance for North America. Schuerman joined Ottobock in 2006 as controller and most recently served as executive director of finance following her promotion to that position in 2012. She will continue as a member of the regional management team where she consults with the leadership team.
Schuerman is chartered global management accountant. She holds a bachelor of science degree from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, Carlson School of Management with an emphasis in accounting. She is a member of the Minnesota Certified Publica Accountant (CPA) Society, the American Institute of CPAs, and the Institute of Management Accountants.
“In her previous roles, Kathy has guided the organization through dramatic changes in the industry and a global recession,” said Andreas Schultz, president and CFO of Ottobock North America. “Despite these challenges, she helped improve our financial position and mitigate downward pressures, and I am pleased to elevate her in the organization in recognition of her financial vision and leadership.”
