Ottobock, Minneapolis, Minnesota, announced that Scott Weber, U.S. senior market manager for socket technology, will add global product management to his role. As global product manager, Weber assumes responsibility for the Harmony vacuum portfolio, reporting to the company’s leadership in socket technology in Duderstadt, Germany, and in marketing in the United States.
“In this dual role, Scott will tie in closely with our Salt Lake City operation where his frequent local presence will drive new Harmony product development initiatives in close proximity with local R&D [research and development] operations,” said Scott Schneider, Ottobock’s chief marketing officer for North America. “With a strong technical and marketing background and sound professional experience in market and product management, Scott brings an ideal skill set to capitalize on opportunities and to manage future challenges in this pivotal business segment.”
Weber has more than 20 years of experience in the medical device industry and has been with Ottobock since its 2003 acquisition of TEC Interface Systems where he held the position of director of international sales.
