Freedom Innovations, Irvine, California, announced that John Robertson has been named vice president of research and development (R&D). Robertson has more than 25 years of experience in R&D and operation management roles. His most recent position was senior director of new product introduction at Masimo, Irvine, a medical technology company. Robertson earned his bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana, and holds a Six Sigma Green Belt certification for quality in manufacturing and management process control.
