Ekso Bionics Holdings, Richmond, California, announced the appointment of Stanley Stern to its board of directors, effective December 9. Stern, an independent director, is a managing partner of Alnitak Capital, New York, a board-level strategic advisory service for technology-related industries, which he founded in 2013. Prior to that, he was a managing director at Oppenheimer & Co., New York, where he led the investment banking department and technology investment banking groups.
Stern is chairman of the board of AudioCodes, headquartered in Lod, Israel, a voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) infrastructure equipment company, and is a member of the board and chairman of the audit committee of Foamix Pharmaceuticals, Rehovot, Israel, and Bridgewater, New Jersey.
“Stanley will add critical expertise and industry knowledge to our board,” said Nathan Harding, Ekso Bionics’ CEO and cofounder. “His 30 years of experience across the financial, technology, biotech, and medical device sectors will add a valuable perspective to our board of directors.”
