New Delhi-based Comprehensive Prosthetics and Orthotics (CPO) India received a private equity fund investment of Rs 60 crore (about US $9.7 million) from India Life Sciences Fund II. CPO, which is co-owned by Amit Bhanti, CPO, and Don Goertzen, CP, LPO, opened in 2005 in the United States. It is headquartered in Peoria, Illinois, and has 18 other Illinois locations and one in Indiana.
CPO India has six patient care facilities. With the current round of funding, CPO India aims to open more than 60 clinics across the country in the next year, as well as expand its existing product line of over-the-counter bracing devices, reports The Economic Times.
Vinod Bhanti, CPO, is chairman of CPO India. He has more than 45 years of O&P experience. Vinod Bhanti graduated from Patna Medical College, India, as a prosthetics and orthotics engineer. He is a founding member of the Orthotic Prosthetic Society of India and has also served as the chairman of the Indian Chapter of the International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics.
