Össur Americas, Foothill Ranch, California, and the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF) have announced a new, multi-year global sponsorship agreement that continues their decades-long collaboration. Central to the agreement is a series of Össur Running and Mobility Clinics, presented by CAF, which are held across the United States. At these clinics, amputee rehabilitation experts teach amputees of all abilities how to achieve their mobility goals. Participants work side-by-side with volunteer clinical professionals and world-class para-athletes in a safe and encouraging environment, learning proper running form and techniques. In 2014, more than 300 participants attended the clinics.
“CAF is dedicated to helping people with physical challenges live full, active lives through participation in fitness activities and competitive sports,” said Virginia Tinley, CAF’s executive director. “The Össur Running and Mobility Clinics we present are a wonderful means of fulfilling our organization’s mission, and we are pleased to be continuing this collaboration, so that even more amputees may benefit from the right to participate in physical activities.”
