The International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics (ISPO) announced that a member society was founded this month in the West African country of Niger and will coordinate between Nigerien society and P&O professionals and manufacturers, and plans to participate in ISPO training opportunities.
ISPO Niger plans to hold workshops for orthotists/prosthetists and physiotherapists working in orthopedics within Niger, and will organize a training session for assistant-technicians. It will continue to work on physical rehabilitation issues through its relationship with the Niger Physiotherapist Association (AKN).
