BiOM, Bedford, Massachusetts, announced that its name has changed to BionX Medical Technologies. The company will unveil its new name and logo during a presentation at the Ladenburg Thalmann Healthcare Conference in New York on September 29. In a press release, the company said that the relaunch “reflects a series of significant company milestones” that include international commercial expansion and support from reimbursement authorities.
“Our company was founded to revolutionize the prosthetic device industry by providing products, based on our bionic platform, that enable patients to have more freedom in their lives. Over the last year, we have made significant progress toward achieving this goal, having fortified our corporate organization, disciplined our commercial execution, and continually expanded our IP portfolio and product pipeline,” said Charles S. Carignan, MD, president and CEO of BionX.
