The Orthotic and Prosthetic Education and Research Foundation (OPERF) is accepting applications for the Carlton Fillauer Prize for Outstanding Contribution to Prosthetics Science and Practice. This award, sponsored by the Fillauer Companies Inc., Chattanooga, Tennessee, recognizes prosthetists who have actively engaged in clinical care, research, and publication. The $5,000 unrestricted cash prize is presented biennially. The submission deadline is November 30.
The 2016 Carlton Fillauer Prize will be presented at the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists 42nd Annual Meeting and Scientific Symposium in Orlando, March 9-12, 2016. The recipient will be invited to make a brief presentation at the opening session of the Annual Meeting.
According to OPERF, ideal nominees or applicants are those who have a history of clinical care, scientific research, and peer-reviewed publication in the prosthetics profession.
