According to and OANDP-L listserv post, American Orthopedics Manufacturing, Mount Vernon, New York, announced that it has been forced to close due to the unexpected passing of a partner and legal issues. However, the company has secured transitional and long-term manufacturing with Arizona AFO, Mesa, and has also partnered with Orthotic Holdings Inc. (OHI), Ronkonkoma, New York, for its custom footwear manufacturing capabilities. All current American Orthopedic Manufacturing’s pricing, order forms, and products will remain the same.
“All orders that have been shipped to American Orthopedics Manufacturing Corporation will be manufactured as quickly as possible during this transitional phase, but there will be a delay, and we are doing everything possible to accommodate the needs of all of our customers,” said Christopher M. Gizzi, CO, chief operating officer of American Orthopedics.
