Ottobock, Austin, Texas, announced the formation of an orthotics business unit and a sales organization, both effective January 1. The new business unit will be supported by the North American orthotics sales organization and will focus solely on orthotic product sales in O&P. Ottobock’s activity and sports medicine representatives will be renamed orthotics sales representatives and will support the company’s orthotics products and services. The technical orthopedics business unit will be renamed the prosthetics business unit and will be supported by the North American prosthetics sales organization.
“By providing one sales representative for orthotics and one sales representative for prosthetics, we will be better able to support our customers in optimizing patient outcomes,” said Matt Swiggum, executive vice president of sales and marketing for Ottobock North America.
