The American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (the Academy) announced the inclusion of a Medicare documentation compliance and update session at its 42nd Annual Meeting & Scientific Symposium. The Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Comprehensive Error Rate Testing (CERT) Outreach and Education Task Force will provide a presentation and question and answer session on Friday, March 11, from 5:10-7:10 p.m.
According to the Academy, this will be a chance for attendees to receive tips and best practices to avoid common documentation challenges for Medicare claims. The panel of presenters will be Judie Roan, outreach specialist for NHIC, the Jurisdiction A Durable Medical Equipment Medicare Administrative Contractor (DME MAC); James Hardiman, outreach specialist for NHIC; Stacie McMichel, CERT coordinator for National Government Services (NGS), the Jurisdiction B DME MAC; Michael Hanna, provider relations senior analyst for CGS, the Jurisdiction C DME MAC;
Michelle Wullstein, the DME education representative for Noridian, the Jurisdiction D DME MAC; and Keith Wilson, CPO/L, senior medical reviewer with CGS.
