Kenney Orthopedics, headquartered in Lexington, Kentucky, hosted a McKeever’s First Ride on June 20 at Blue Willow Farms, Versailles, Kentucky. McKeever’s First Ride is a therapeutic horsemanship program coordinated by the Orthotic and Prosthetic Activities Foundation and The First Clinics.
Over 70 people attended the event, including more than 30 people with amputations and 20 therapists. Participants rode horses, received lessons in grooming and groundwork, and the children shared in the Horse of a Different Color activity, during which they applied paint to a horse.
