The American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (Academy) nominating committee has called for suggestions for nominees for the Academy’s board of directors and for the Academy’s member awards. Board nominees and award recipients will be announced at the 43rd Academy Annual Meeting & Scientific Symposium, March 1-4, 2017, in Chicago. The submission deadline is September 23.
Board Member Suggestions: Academy active (voting) members annually elect two directors and three officers (president-elect, vice president, and treasurer). The directors serve for three-year terms, and the officers serve for one-year terms. All Academy members may suggest one or more candidates to the nominating committee for consideration; candidates must be active (voting) members.
Award Recipient Suggestions: The Academy recognizes members for their outstanding achievements. Each year, the Academy nominating committee requests suggestions for candidates for member awards.
