The Orthotic Prosthetic Group of America (OPGA), Waterloo, Iowa, recognized 13 members with its 2016 Freedom Award for delivering exceptional standards of O&P care to veterans. Seven of the 13 companies were repeat winners.
“Each year we look forward to recognizing our members who provide admirable care to patients who have served the armored forces,” said Dennis Clark, president of OPGA. “Veterans represent 7 percent of the U.S. population, and it’s a privilege and honor for our profession to serve these amazing men and women.”
The 2016 recipients are: Limbcare Prosthetics & Orthotics of Georgia, Columbus; Limb Lab, Rochester, Minnesota; Orthotic & Prosthetic Designs, Indianapolis; Holmes Prosthetic Center, Houston; Abilities Unlimited, Colorado Springs, Colorado; Cayuga Orthotics & Prosthetics, Rochester, New York; Georgia Prosthetics, Atlanta; Fourroux Prosthetics, Birmingham, Alabama; Central Brace & Limb, Indianapolis; Clark & Associates Prosthetics and Orthotics, Waterloo; University of Pittsburgh; Washington Orthotics and Prosthetics, Tacoma, Washington; and The Brace Shop, Baltimore.
