The Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF) announced that Virginia Tinley has been named chief executive director. As a result of this change, Ken Wheatley will no longer serve as CEO. Tinley, who was hired in 1997 as CAF’s first employee, served as executive director until 2014 when she was named the senior director of philanthropy.
“On behalf of the board we are ecstatic that Virginia has assumed this role and we are confident that by staying laser-focused on our mission and fundraising efforts, CAF will grow into the organization that will ensure every person who has the desire, can fulfill their dream,” said Jeffrey Essakow, chairman of the board of directors.
