The Board of Certification/Accreditation (BOC) announced that two new members have been added to its board of directors. The board has also elected the 2017 executive committee members. The additions to the BOC board are Von M. Homer, MSc, BOCPD, and John “Sion” Owen Jr., MA, BOCPD, CDME.
Homer is codirector of the Motion Analysis Center at the Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine, where he serves as a clinical faculty assistant professor. He also holds secondary research faculty appointments at the Baltimore Veterans Affairs Medical Center Geriatric Research Education and Clinical Centers and Delaware State University. Homer has previously held adjunct appointments at St. Petersburg College Orthotics and Prosthetics program. His work has been published in Current Pedorthics, and he is pursuing a doctorate in neuroscience and research and evaluation.
Owen is owner of Foot Solutions stores in Columbia, South Carolina, and Nashville, Tennessee, and has held key roles at home medical supply businesses in Arkansas and South Carolina.
The executive committee is made up of the officers of the board, as follows:

- Secretary: Wayne R. Rosen, BOCP, BOCO, CPO, CPed, PA, FAAOP

- Immediate past chair: James L. Hewlett, BOCO
