Students in the Baylor College of Medicine Master of Science in Orthotics and Prosthetics (MSOP) Program are conducting a survey of certified or licensed prosthetists to understand the state of the multidisciplinary approach to lower-limb amputation care. The study aims to understand surgeon and prosthetist interaction, according to an OANDP-L listserv post by Mary Heaton, MSOP candidate. The goal is to highlight the need for communication between healthcare fields to improve the state of patient care among people with lower-limb amputations.
