Handspring Prosthetic Rehabilitation, headquartered in Middletown, New York, announced that it has acquired Ability Prosthetic Systems, Salt Lake City. The acquisition provides Handspring with a location from which to grow throughout the western part of the United States.
“Being able to combine with Tom Andrew [CP] and his team in Salt Lake City will further strengthen our Handspring team,” said Laura Katzenberger, CP/L, director of clinical services for Handspring.
“Tom’s reputation for creativity in the prosthetics profession is stellar, but being able to add Mike Jay [CTP] and Judy Floyd really sealed the deal for us,” said Mark Ford, president of Handspring, adding that Chris Baschuk, MPO, CPO, LP, FAAOP, a Handspring clinician who lives in Salt Lake City, will be working with Andrew and his team.
