The American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (the Academy) has issued a call for abstract submissions for the 43rd Annual Meeting and Scientific Symposium, to be held February 14-17, 2018, in New Orleans. The submission deadline for poster presentations has not yet been determined; all other abstracts are due by July 31. The Academy invites abstract submissions in the following categories:
- Free Papers: Submissions should offer solutions to common problems, patient and practice management techniques, innovative uses of technology, or current research findings. The content and/or presentation of the information will promote quality or improvements in orthotic or prosthetic care.
- Thranhardt Lectures: Presenters are expected to present on the clinical, research, statistical analysis, results, and conclusions of their abstracts. All abstracts will be considered as potential Thranhardt lectures, unless the author designates otherwise.
- Poster Presentations: Submissions should offer solutions to common problems, patient/practice management techniques, innovative uses of technology, current research findings, and more.
Abstracts must adopt the introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion, and conclusion (IMRAD) format and be submitted online.
