Northwestern University Prosthetics-Orthotics Center (NUPOC) recognized Amy Lawrence, PTA, MSPO, CPO, and Chris Robinson, MBA, CPO, ATC, FAAOP(D), for teaching and educational excellence.
Lawrence is a recipient of the John X. Thomas Jr. Best Teachers of Feinberg Award for teaching excellence at the Feinberg School of Medicine, which houses NUPOC. The award recognizes faculty who demonstrate exceptional dedication, innovation, and effectiveness in medical education. Previous recipients include Matthew Major, PhD, associate professor and director of the NUPOC’s O&P research program, and John Brinkmann, MA, CPO/L, FAAOP(D).
Robinson, also a previous recipient of the John X. Thomas Jr. Award, was formally recognized as a full member of the Feinberg Academy of Medical Educators (FAME), which honors faculty who contribute to educational excellence and innovation across Feinberg. Other O&P faculty members in FAME include Mike Cavanaugh, MSHI, CP, and Mindy Thrope, MS-IDS, CPO.
