Prosthetic & Orthotic Associates, Middletown, New York, hosted an OPAF First Things First Clinic at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York. The event was led by Chris Doerger, PT, CP and attended by local therapists, Marist physical therapy students, practitoners, and individuals with lower-limb amputations. The causes and prevention of falls and recovery were discussed as part of the clinic. Participants were also taught a reverse chain method for getting up after a fall.

Complete Orthopedic Services hosted a First Stride Clinic at its newest location in East Meadow, New York. The full-day session was led by Sheila Clemens, PT, PhD, and gave attendees classroom and lab experience with a focus on introduction to gait training for those with lower-limb amputations.
