Advice

Dennis Farrell

Dear List,
I was recently contacted by a Catholic nun based in Chicago seeking advice about a young amputee in Africa. Sister Bridgette is South African, and in this case has been approached by contacts in Zambia.
Sister is reaching out for advice as to how to assist a young 17 y/o woman who was in a very tragic motor vehicle accident in her home country (Zambia). The accident killed her entire family (parents and siblings), and resulted in bilateral trans-tibial amputations. She is currently being cared for by a Jesuit priest.
I did contact a prosthetic company in Zambia via a message portal on their website, but so far no reply after 2 weeks.
I am very hopeful that a member of the list will be able to point us in the direction of an organization or individual who may know of resources to assist this young girl within her home country. Or perhaps an international relief organization working in that part of Africa.
Thank you for your time and consideration.Dennis Farrell, CP (USA)
