Skin PSI tolerance

Bryan King

List Members:Does anyone recall, perhaps from school days, what the maximum PSI tolerance is for human skin.  I think when I was at Northwestern (a “few”years ago), we were told skin will maintain full bloodflow up to 1/2 PSI.??   If pressure exceeds that, there is interruption in blood supply, and if that pressure is sustained for X time, the process of necrosis will begin.  Thanks for any answers!Bryan King, CPO, LPOJAS
