The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has dedicated resources to better understand outcomes used to assess device effectiveness and benefit in an effort to facilitate the review of emerging upper limb prosthesis technologies. As part of those efforts, we are interested in better understanding perspectives of individuals with upper limb amputation as it relates to perceived function, pain, and satisfaction with their current devices. To do that, an online survey has been developed through SurveyMonkey. The survey is expected to take less than 20 minutes to complete and administered online, so it can be accessed on any device with internet connection. All responses are confidential; no identifiable information will be linked to your responses.
We are currently recruiting adults (ages 18 and up) who have an upper limb amputation at any level. Please contact Dr. Kimberly Kontson at kimberly.kontson@fda.hhs.gov
