Hello list,
I have a 19 y/o patient who’s presents with bilateral Ectrodactyly. She hasn’t really used any device in the past, besides some adaptive sports equipment.
She is in the process of trying to learn to play the Clarinet, Flute, and wants to learn sign language.
All seem to be very large asks considering her presentation. Essentially she has her “thumb†and “5th phalange†bilaterally. None of the fingers have DIP or IP joints. I personally think the clarinet and sign language is out of the question and but think the flute may be obtainable.
I am wondering if anyone has attempted anything like this for this type of presentation or if you know of someone that has and can point me in the right direction.
