I posted last week that BCBS of Alabama had changed their policy regarding custom foot orthotics from 2/24 months to 2/48 months. After an inquiry with BCBS Glenn received this response:
The change in foot orthotics you are referring to was a system error and has been corrected. There has been no change in our Medical Policy #293 Foot Orthotics and Orthopedic Shoes or processing guidelines. Please let us know if you have additional questions or concerns.
This should remind each of us to question everything and not sit idle when things are brought up or introduced as change!
