My name is Pratima Saravanan, and I am a doctoral candidate in the
Department of Industrial Engineering at Pennsylvania State University. My
advisor (Dr. Jessica Menold) and I are interested in studying the
decision-making strategies of amputee care providers in an effort to
optimize the prescription process in developing countries. Information and
results obtained from this study will be used to gain insight into
effective prescription processes.
As a first step, we have built an interactive survey for practicing
clinicians and healthcare providers to understand how decision-making
strategies may vary across two case studies. *You are receiving this email
as you are a practicing clinician or health care provider in the field of
prosthetics and orthotics, and your participation in this study would
greatly advance the research*. If you are willing to participate you will
be asked to review two case studies and answer a series of follow-up
questions. We anticipate participation will take between 15-20 minutes.
Participation in this survey is voluntary and you may stop participation at
any time. All information will remain anonymous and confidential.
