Hi all,
I asked a question “If insurance companies can ask us the invoice, and if we have to provide them” couple weeks ago, many of you asked me to share the responses.
Here are what I got back from practitioners, billers, owners, …:
1- Some say that we should not share our invoices (our cost) with them since we negotiate hard with manufacturer to get lower price.
2- Some say that they may ask for the invoice, and if they do so, we have to share. otherwise we won’t get paid.
3- Some suggested to create my invoice and send it for them.

As I found, insurance companies may ask for our cost, and they are allowed to do so. In such a case, we have to provide them. Looks like this request would be for the item(s) that does not have fee schedule.
